BIG thanks to everyone who made our inaugural tasting a success, especially Jordan & Jess at Love Cheese.
As voted for by those attending, the pairing of the night was the Spirit of Yorkshire IPA Finish Batch #1 and a lovely creamy Maida Vale, cheese of the night was a tie between the Wensleydale and the Montagnolo Affine, and dram of the night was a cask-strength Spey Tenné (Batch #3). With a spirit of adventure, several attendees made their own successful pairing of red wine farmer and heavily Peated Kilkerran.
Huge thanks also to Spirit of Yorkshire for donating the IPA and a pair of distillery tour tickets, and The Angels’ Share donating a first edition of their whisky magazine for us to raffle at the end.
It was fantastic to start our club journey with a brilliant group of people keen to explore their love for whisky (+cheese)!
